A real person, not a bot
hello@baseline.day goes straight to the person building Baseline. Expect a reply within a day or two — this is a small, independent app, not a support queue.
No. Baseline is a consumer wellness product, not a medical device, and the coach isn't a clinician. Calorie and macro figures from a photo are estimates. If something about your health worries you, or you're managing a condition that diet affects, talk to a professional — see the terms of use.
No — never. There are no advertising networks, no data brokers, and no third-party trackers. The full list of who touches your data is in the privacy policy.
Meal-photo calories are an estimate, not a lab measurement — portion size is the biggest source of error, and the app shows its assumptions so you can correct them. The coach only states a number a tool actually returned; it doesn't guess at your history or invent a streak.
Meal and scan photos live in a private storage bucket only your account can read. They're never used to train a model, sold, or shared for anyone else's marketing.
Both are in Profile. Export gives you a single JSON file of everything. Delete removes the account itself along with every meal, photo, scan, recipe and conversation — immediately, with no recovery and no grace period. Export first if you want a copy.
If you or someone you know is in crisis, don't wait on an email reply — call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, US) or text HOME to 741741 (Crisis Text Line). For an eating-disorder concern, the NEDA helpline is 1-800-931-2237.
